COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL GROUP "DIETA - 18"
The Industrial Trade Group DIETA-18 was established in 1993. The Food Store No.18, which previously had been a part of the state owned food store network LENDIETTORG, was privatized by its staff and became The Industrial Trade Group DIETA-18. Since then the company has been substantially reorganized into a market driven and performance orientated enterprise.
DIETA-18 today is widely known on St Petersburg market as the largest meat importer and wholesaler with its own deliveries both within the city and throughout the region. DIETA-18 is also the owner of wide food stores network and a meat processing plant. DIETA-18 employs approximately 1000 people.
DIETA-18 started its wholesale trading in 1994. Today the Company’s Meat and Meat Products Wholesale Department is the largest on St Petersburg market. Our clients are supermarkets, shops, restaurants and meat processing plants throughout the city. We also have an excellent regional wholesales network. The Company’s own 35 refrigeration trucks provide guaranteed quality on-time deliveries.
DIETA-18 is very well known to the Western exporters and is proud of its excellent reputation. We import from almost all meat producing countries. Our extremely qualified and experienced staff ensures purchase of high quality products and provides a wide variety of the purchased goods to satisfy our customers’ individual needs.
In 1999 DIETA-18 bought DIETPRODUCT Meat Processing Plant. Partial modernization of the plant has extremely improved the quality and expanded the variety of the finished products (about 60 different types). Constant raw materials availability and excellent sales structures enable our meat processing plant to produce various quality high demanded products.
The Company plans some substantial further investments into its meat processing plant to expand the variety of the goods. It is also planned to build an additional hall for cutting meat into bite-size portions and also for vacuum-packaging pre-cut meats. This is to cater for some shops without meat cutting facilities on their premises.
The Company’s future plans include expansion of its retail network, construction of its own cold store and establishing its branches in different regions.
